David Beckham’s eight-day-old nephew Jenson James is seriously ill in hospital with severe breathing difficulties.
The boy, born to Becks’ sister Lynne, 41, has been in intensive care since birth.
The family, from Romford, Essex, has kept a bedside vigil as doctors prepare to move the tot to London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital for surgery today.

And caring Becks, 38, has constantly been on the phone to Lynne, desperate for news of his nephew.
Jenson’s dad Kevin, 41, said last night: “When he was born he was fighting for life.
"We’re all very worried but the doctors have been brilliant. David’s been in constant contact.”
Becks’ mum Sandra has been with Lynne and Kevin, of Romford, Essex, as they face an anxious wait to find out what is wrong.
Little Jenson has stridor, a symptom of an underlying problem that left him with a narrow airway.
Surgeons are hoping to perform an operation on him today to find out what is affecting his breathing.
