Security company Symantec has discovered a new type of malware attacks on Android devices through a computer has been infected. Currently, the malware is spreading fast speeds on devices running Android in Korea.
Malware called “ Trojan.Droidpak ”and transmitted to the device by manually install APK files throughADB . Once infected, the application icon appear like Google Play Store but is called “ Google App Store ”. If a user activates the application up, it will automatically search for application bank account in Korea. After that trick users into installing malicious applications instead of the formal banking applications. In addition, the malware also blocks messages and protecting email users.
To protect yourself against malware, you should only connect to trusted computers. Besides, they should also disable the “ USB Debugging ”and turn on” Verifying application ”to control and prevent malicious applications to automatically install equipment that they may not know.
