This is amazing. Gone are the days when rappers wears baggy jeans, over-sized shirts with bandana and sun-shades. Then, they seem to be living a rugged life but now, everything has changed. Even smoking of weeds is done in a more civilized fashion. Before we get it twisted, news making around town has it that popular rapper, Eedris Abdulareem still have not gotten his own personal house.
Sources hint us that the rapper still stay in a two bedroom flat apartment with his family since he returned from his self-imposed exile few years ago. The house located at Aboderin Estate, Mangoro bus stop also firms his personal studio and we heard the house has also been a hid out for young chaps he has groomed to be his crew, smoking weeds almost every evening. We also heard that some artists in his good book has also worked from his home from time to time.
But really it is unfortunate that some rappers that have come behind him with less fame are multi-millionaire and redefining the game. Eedris raise to fame with his “pass’ album after splitting from “Remedies”. He released his second album “Jaga Jaga” which got him into a serious faceoff with the former president “Chief Olusegun obasanjo. Also referred to as Mr. Lecture, Eedris is expected to have grown into an household name and racked in millions but was blank listed by major brands in the country due to his face off with American rapper 50 Cent. Those were troubled times that nosedived his career.
He has since not been able to get his career back on track even with several attempt. Born into a polygamous family in Kano state, the rapper can be said to have reformed rap music in Nigeria
