D'banj and Mike Adenuga
Contrary to report on twitter that Koko Concert for this year was cancelled by D’Banj in honour of the late Nelson Mandela, an artiste manager has described the story as a lie.
In a recent interview with TRIBUNE,  his manager said the concert was cancelled because “they could not able to get enough sponsorship support as planned by the Kokomaster.”
He said “D’Banj was having problems with getting a sponsor and would not hold the concert if his attempts at getting one fails. He spent a lot of money in bringing Idris Elba and others to the country last year and does not want to do so alone this year. So, when I read on twitter that he said he was cancelling the concert to honour Mandela, I just laughed at the PR-driven lie’’
