Bank Employee Sleeps on Keyboard, Unintentionally Transfers 222 Million Euros
A tired bank employee in Germany transformed a minor bank transfer into a £222 million transfer when he fell asleep on his desktop’s keyboard, a labour court heard Monday.
The banker ought to have transferred just 62 Euros to a retiree’s bank account. Instead the man slept on the keyboard holding down the number 2 button to make the transfer a 222,222,222.22 Euro transfer.
