Jonathan Issues Ultimatum To All Defectors From PDP

President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday said politicians who want to come back to the PDP should do so in the next few days or be ready to queue behind ward heads if they come back later. He insisted that the PDP is the party to beat, and that there would be no democracy in Nigeria without PDP.
In his words: “We have opened the door for a few days. If you join us these few days, the position you occupy is the position any other person will occupy. No discrimination. But if you don’t come and come later, you will queue behind your ward assistant chairman.”
Jonathan spoke at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, Imo State during PDP’s sensitisation rally, where some party bigwigs were received back into the party.

Among those received at the rally were Achike Udenwa, Senator Chris Anyanwu, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, Mike Ahamba, Cosmas Iwu, Lambert Iheanacho, Independence Ogunewe, among others.

Others present were Vice-President Namadi Sambo; President of the Senate, David Mark; his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu; Deputy Speaker of the House of Reps Emeka Ihedioha; National Chairman of PDP, Adamu Muazu; Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Tony Anenih, among others.

As usual, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, shunned the PDP rally.

Meanwhile, Governor Rochas Okorocha's team have said even if President Jonathan decide to come to Imo 20 times, such moves will not change the minds of the people who are tired of the bad leadership from PDP.
