Two Chinese nationals were kidnapped yesterday, March 5, 2015, in Lokoja, Kogi State.
According to Channels TV report online, the two Chinese men were abducted on Thursday afternoon at the Zango Daji area of Lokoja while the men were carrying out construction work on a drainage system.
An eyewitness informed that the unknown gunmen, who were dressed in military uniform, and numbering about 12, came out from the bush around the construction site and started shooting.
It was gathered that in the process, one mobile police man attached to the Chinese nationals and a driver sustained injury.
The two men are currently at the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, where they are being treated, a source stated.
It would be recalled that some unknown gunmen were also reported to have kidnapped a Chinese project manager in the same Kogi state on February 17, 2015.
In a similar vein, some masked gunmen in Kogi State had on February 24, reportedly kidnapped an American woman doing missionary work.
