Naija Babe Sets Her Boyfriend's Range Rover JEEP On Fire For Cheating On Her [Pics]

Some girls are really mean, as in wicked to the bone! How can you set your boyfriend's Range Rover Jeep on fire simply because he cheated on you with another girl?

Seriously, do you guys think this girl's action is justifiable?

Is cheating a good enough reason for her to take the laws into her hands and wreck the guy's life to the extent?

Guys, will you accept her plea?

Sunday Mba Ranked 24th Best Player In The World

Sunday mba have been awarded the 24th best player in 2013 ahead of the likes of Ibrahimovic, suarez, isco, mata and lampard. Hazard and Oscar didnt even make the list MESSI is the world best player this year more info at

A first-time entry for both player and country, Sunday Mba has been Nigeria’s revelation over the last year.

The midfielder’s inclusion, along with five other home-based players, in Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations squad raised eyebrows but the 24-year-old played better than many of the nation’s more heralded foreign contingent.

Having started the tournament on the bench, Mba was Nigeria’s hero in the knockout stages. He scored the winner in the quarter-final against Cote d'Ivoire to spell the end for Didier Drogba’s trophyless 'golden generation'. Then in the final itself, Mba fired home the only goal against Burkina Faso to gift Nigeria their first Afcon title since 1994.

The 24-year-old was also one of Nigeria’s best performers at the Confederations Cup and has helped to draw attention to the depth of talent in the Nigerian league.

A drawn out transfer tussle between Warri Wolves - who own the player and his full transfer rights - and new club Enugu Rangers - where he will stay on loan until the end of the league season in September - mean he has played just a single domestic game, scoring one goal.

Collect Your Certificates Before December Or Face Penalty - WAEC

THE West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), has threatened to impose penalties on candidates who failed to collect their certificates on or before December 31.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Mr Yusuf Ari, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lagos.
It stated that millions of certificates of candidates who sat for WAEC examinations since 1960 had long been signed but were not collected by candidates.
“We wish to inform the general public that certificates up to May/June 2012 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), conducted by WAEC have been printed and dispatched to schools for collection by candidates.
“And certificates for external candidates for up to November/December 2012 WASSCE diet, also conducted by the Council have also been printed and are equally awaiting collection by candidatesat WAEC offices nationwide.
“The external candidates, especially who wrote the November/December examination diets are advised to go and collect their certificates from all our zonalbranches or satellite offices in the states.
“We urge candidates to go to where theysat for the examination because we no longer have enough space to harbour them.
“Most of these certificates have been lying fallow in our various offices with no one coming forward to collect them.
“Candidates come in trickles for them, only when they have absolute need for them and I think it should not be so.
“We therefore wish to warn that WAEC will be charging extra fee for the custodyof these certificates if the candidates failed to collect them later than December 31,” the statement said.

ASUU denies plan to call off strike

ASUU denies plan to call off strike

ABUJA — ACADEMIC Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has described as speculative reports that the strike embarked upon by the union over the inability of the Federal Government to implement the 2009 agreement it willingly entered into with the union would be called off this Thursday.
National President of ASUU, Dr. Nasir Fagge, told Vanguard that he was surprised to hear that the union was going to call off the strike on Thursday when the issues tabled before government had not been resolved.
Faggae said: “There is nothing like that (suspending the strike). I am also surprised to hear people say that we are going to call off the strike.
He said: “Our members have made it categorically clear what they want. This meeting we had with government on Friday at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, is just exploratory.
graduating-students
“We are trying to look at issues holistically and see how we are going to address them. So assignments were given to various people that attended the meeting and the expectation is that we will meet tomorrow (today), Monday and look at the assignment given and also look at it on Thursday again.
“So, that is why I’m surprised to hear people say that we are going to suspend strike on Thursday. The mandate of our members is very clear. So, we will wait and see what the Monday and Thursday meetings unfold and then we report back to our members.”
On how long it would take ASUU leaders to convene a meeting with its members after the meeting with government on Thursday, the ASUU boss said “we are in constant consultation with our members, we don’t really have problems with that.
“After the meeting, we will decide when to link up with our members depending upon what is placed on table on Thursday.”
Commenting on the speculation that the union might suspend the strike if the government met up to 50 per cent of the agreement, Faggae said the union would prefer to get to the bridge before crossing it.
He commended the positive disposition of the Joint Senate and House of Representatives Committee on Education towards the resolution of the crisis.
Fagge added: “For us, the interaction we have had with the Joint Committee clearly indicates that they are concerned like other Nigerians”.
“This is expected of the representatives of people. You see the problem has always been that the executive arm of government does not really hearken to advise that are given on how best to address the problems on education in this country.
“We are convinced as a union that the only thing the government can really do for Nigerians is to avail them of education.
“Once you are able to do that, you will see that people will be able to generate jobs and they will be able to take care of themselves and contribute to nation building. So that is the argument we are placing on the table.”

Obaobona slams Wenger

Obaobona slams Wenger

Obaobona slams Wenger
•Over invitation for trial
By ROMANUS UGWU, Abuja
Super Eagles inform defender, Godfrey Obabona has expressed anger against the management and technical staff of Premiership entertaining team, Arsenal for inviting him for trial before offering him a deal, frowning that such decision more of less discredits him and the country at large.
Speaking to Daily Sunsports at the Super Eagles camp in Abuja, the Sunshine Stars FC of Akure defender argued that he could not see the rationale, why Barcelona should sign midfield attacking sensation, Nermay da Silva Santos, who was playing in the Brazilian league without trial and Arsenal could not do the same to him, describing his invitation for trial as an embarrassment.
Asked what happened to his Arsenal deal, the Super Eagles defender angrily thundered: “I don’t think anything happened because it is high time some of these clubs started respecting this country. Nigeria is a very big football playing country. “I continue to wonder why Barcelona should sign Nermay for £50 million from a Brazilian club even before Brazil won the Confederations Cup, only for Arsenal management to tell me, who participated in the team that won the Africa Cup of Nations to come for trial.
I think I should be above such request,” he quipped angrily. Speaking on his plans to take his career outside the shore of Nigeria, the Sunshine Stars FC skipper said: “I have no doubt that I will get a good deal in Europe very soon.
But I’m not going to be in a haste to accept any deal because I want to leave the country. “When we finished AFCON, there was no transfer window then and it would be wrong to think that since I did well in South Africa, I should desperately accept any offer from obscure countries like Iran or Iraq, Tahiti or Cote d’Ivoire in the name of playing professional football. I believe our league here is better than the ones in those countries,” he said.
On how urgent the deal would materialise and whether he would still be part of the CHAN tournament early next year, Obabona philosophically responded: “I hope you are not suggesting that I should reject good offers because I want to participate in CHAN.” If I leave we have players to step into my shoes but if I did not, I will be part of the tournament.”
FG, ASUU Meet, May Call Off Strike Next Week

FG, ASUU Meet, May Call Off Strike Next Week

IT seems an end to the prolonged strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may be called off as the body and the Federal Government have come to a reasonable agreement.
Rising from a three-hour closed-door meeting held at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Friday, both parties achieved reasonable success in the negotiation as all issues except two were agreed on.
The Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim was at the head of the FG team along with the Education and Labour Ministers while ASUU’s team was led by its President, Dr Nasir Isa Fagge.
Briefing journalists afterwards, the Chairman, University Needs Implementation Committee, Gabriel Suswam said, “we agreed on all major issues except the issues of funding of the Universities or rather intervention and then the allowance of the University Lecturers. We believe that by next week the other issues would be resolved. Then, ASUU would probably call off the strike.”
The Benue State Governor added that the SGF is meeting on the issue of earn allowance on Monday while his committee, which is dealing with the Needs assessment implementation, would be meeting on Thursday to assess all the infrastructural deficits in the Universities.
“We are involving all the agencies that fund the universities - the CBN and all others. As soon as the two issues are resolved, we believe that the strike would be called off.
“The issues of retirement age, setting up a pension administrator, setting up of budget monitoring unit, persuading companies to set up research centres, among others, have being agreed on,” Suswam said.
“We agreed that all the funding agencies would meet on Thursday and we chart a way forward,” he noted.
Although the Chairman of ASUU refused to speak to the press in an obvious show of dissatisfaction, a source within ASUU said they did not expect the Federal Government to bring all the cards on the table at once so they are still keeping their fingers crossed for next week when their demands would be exhaustively tackled. “For now, the strike continues indefinitely,” the source said.
Earlier, in a bid to put up appropriate conditions necessary for academics in all tertiary institutions in Nigeria, the Federal Government has inaugurated the Universities Needs Implementation Committee, with a mandate to prioritise requisite exigencies.
At the inauguration yesterday in Abuja, the SGF, Anyim Pius Anyim said the major needs of all Federal Universities where identified by an assessment committee earlier set up to assess and prioritise the needs of universities.”
He said the report submitted by the Needs assessment Committee mandates the inaugurated Committee to “interface with all agencies providing funding support to the universities with the aim of appropriately channeling support to identified priorities.”
“Simulate private sector investment into the public universities, monitor progress of the projects implementation and produce quarterly report for submission to the federal government and, intervention in any other matter that may be necessary to achieve the purpose of the Needs Assessment,” he added.
This mandate stemmed from the observations earlier carried out, which noted that various countries fund tertiary institutions through varying approaches, some through budgetary allocations, non-budgetary interventions or private sector donations.
It would be recalled that the Federal Government set up the Need Assessment Committee to revitalise the physical infrastructure in the universities, with the aim of enhancing the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) base of the universities.

Ivory Coast Vs Nigeria: CHAN Qualifier On Saturday At 4:30pm

Ivory Coast Vs Nigeria: CHAN Qualifier On Saturday At 4:30pm

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has asked for total concentration from his players ahead of their final African Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifier against Cote D’Ivoire in Abidjan on July 27. He noted that the match will be like war against their West African neighbours.
Nigeria won the first leg in Kaduna 4-1 and need to avoid defeat by more than three goals in order to qualify for their first participation in the competition that will hold in South Africa next year. The team commenced training on Tuesday at the artificial pitch of the Fifa Goal Project site in Abuja with 23 players as Sunshine Stars captain Godfrey Oboabona was exempted due to his exertions at club. It was reported last week that the defender suffered a slight injury when he was mobbed by fans in Owo during training.

“The win in Kaduna is history and if you have been following the media you will see that they have been making remarks that they can also beat us well. We must be ready for their antics and forget the past,” said Keshi.

Keshi has invited four new players, including one defender, one midfielder and two strikers, in line with a pledge to inject a few new faces following last Saturday’s opening leg win at the Ahmadu
Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
The new faces are Kwara United defender Ganiyu Ogungbe, Kano Pillars midfielder Rabiu Mohammed, and strikers Abdullahi Gero of Enugu Rangers and Osadinye Joseph of Warri Wolves.

Two-goal hero Sunday Mba tops the list that also includes goalkeeper and skipper Chigozie Agbim, defenders Godfrey Oboabona, Azubuike Egwuekwe and Chibuzor Okonkwo, as well as
midfielders Olufemi Oladapo and Ayo Saka, and forwards Muhammad Gambo, Ifeanyi Edeh and Dele Olorundare.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Free-Kick Breaks Boy's Wrist In Friendly Match

Cristiano Ronaldo's Free-Kick Breaks Boy's Wrist In Friendly Match

Not intentionally, of course, but the Portuguese superstar hit the headlines on Wednesday morning after it emerged that his wayward free kick during Real Madrid's friendly against Bournemouth at the weekend left one fan nursing a broken wrist.

11-year-old Charlie Silverwood was at Dean Court for the Cherries' pre-season friendly against the Spanish giants, and was delighted to have scored seats right behind the goal.

Six minutes in, however, his prime seats proved to be a liability as a Ronaldo free kick - struck at full power from 35 yards - dipped over the goal and smashed young Charlie on his left arm.

The shot left his wrist broken in two places, but the brave Bournemouth fan refused to leave the ground to get medical help - and no wonder, considering the outrageous ticket prices.

"I could see the ball coming towards me. It curled past the post and was going to hit my face — so I had to block it with my hand," Charlie told The Sun, before going on to explain that his dad, Lee, could have stepped in to stop the injury happening.

"My dad was sat next to me and ducked out of the way so I took the full force."

Charming, eh? Poor little Charlie. But he was just grateful that it wasn't worse.

"If I didn't put my wrist out in front of me I'd have ended up with no front teeth," he told Sky News.

He stayed to watch the final 84 minutes of the match before going to hospital, where it emerged that his wrist was broken in two places.

That alone is something to consider next time you lambast a footballer for flinching out of the way while making up part of a free kick wall.

The story has a happy ending, however: Real Madrid organised a signed Ronaldo shirt for Charlie, while Bournemouth sent him a ball signed by the team.

We Won’t Call Off Strike, ASUU Tells FG

We Won’t Call Off Strike, ASUU Tells FG

Striking university teachers on Wednesday insisted that they would not return to the classrooms until the Federal Government honoured fully the 2009 agreement and Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two parties.

This came as there were conflicting reports from the University of Jos over the institution post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

While the striking teachers insisted on Wednesday that the exercise would not hold, the school authorities said the screening was in progress.

University teachers under the auspices of the Academic Staff Union of Universities embarked on a nationwide industrial action on July 1, 2013.

However, the Ibadan Zonal Coordinator of ASUU, Dr. Adesola Nassir, during a briefing at the University of Lagos, on Wednesday insisted that the strike would not end until the Federal Government respected the signed pact.

The zone has members drawn from UNILAG, University of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State; Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State; Lagos State University, Ojo; Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagu, Ogun State and the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Nassir explained that though the union met with the government’s representatives, including the members of the Senate Committee on Education last Monday, the meeting ended in a deadlock.

He said, “This is because the Federal Government is still not being sincere to address the issues at stake.

“The strike will remain for as long as it takes the Federal Government to be faithful to the implementation of the 2009 agreement and its renegotiation as contained in the Memorandum of Understanding reached by both parties in January last year.”

He explained that the FG’s response to the action since it started had shown that it was not ready to address the challenges facing the nation’s university system.

Meanwhile, the ASUU UNIJOS chairman, Dr. David Jangkam, has urged parents not to send their children to the school for the post-UTME.

He said, “No parent should send their children to UNIJOS because the ongoing strike is total, comprehensive and indefinite and so no academic activities in whatever form is supposed to take place.”

However, the university said the screening was in progress.

Speaking with journalists on Wednesday, its Registrar, Mr. Jilli Dandam, called on the public and participating candidates to disregard any contrary announcement from the striking teachers.

Nigeria have left out goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama but handed recalls to Emmanuel Emenike, Obinna Nsofor and Shola Ameobi for next month's Nelson Mandela Challenge.
The trio are in a squad of 20 named by Stephen Keshi for the game in against South Africa in Durban on August 14.
Also returning in what is a very strong squad is Chelsea star Victor Moses, who missed the Confederations Cup with injury.
The annual Mandela Challenge contest at the Moses Mabhida Stadium is in honour of ailing former South African President, Nelson Mandela, one of the world’s greatest statesmen.
Russia-based Emmanuel Emenike, top scorer at the 29th Africa Cup of Nations that Nigeria won in South Africa earlier in the year, returns to the squad for the first time since that feat, and there is also room for Newcastle United FC’s Shola Ameobi, who recently again made himself available for Nigeria.
Nimble-footed Chelsea FC ace Victor Moses is also back and while goalkeeper and skipper Vincent Enyeama is left out, sharp-shooting Obinna Nsofor returns after nearly two years in the international wilderness.
Former junior international forward Uche Nwofor, of VVV Venlo in the Netherlands, is a surprise invitee in a list dominated by the squad that represented Nigeria at last month’s Fifa Confederations Cup tournament in Brazil.
Coach Keshi has placed three home boys - defenders Benjamin Francis and Solomon Kwambe and striker Muhammad Gambo - and little known Norway-based Samuel Aaron on standby.
THE FULL LIST:
GOALKEEPERS: Austin Ejide (Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel); Chigozie Agbim (Enugu Rangers, Nigeria)
DEFENDERS: Kenneth Omeruo (Chelsea FC, England); Efe Ambrose (Celtic FC, Scotland); Godfrey Oboabona (Sunshine Stars, Nigeria); Azubuike Egwuekwe (Warri Wolves, Nigeria); Elderson Echiejile (Sporting Braga,

After 81 days of inactivity, polytechnic students across the country are expected to return to their classrooms as the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) suspends its strike today.

The ASUP Chairman, Dr. Chibuzor Asumogba, told Vanguard in a phone interview that the decision was made by the National Executive Committee of the Union as a result of the intervention of the Joint committee of the Senate and House of Representative on Education.

He said the union gave the government representatives one month to accede to their demands and release the white paper on the visitation panel to federal polytechnics.

The ASUP Chairman however, called on all lecturers to go back to work. “All lecturers are to resume work at their various institutions today”, He said.

When reached, Wizkid and EME publicist, denied all allegations. They explained that they did not take any money from anyone, and they issue of scam must have been done by impersonators.

Pro-chancellors appeal for quick end to ASUU strike

The Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Nigerian Federal Universities on Monday expressed concern over the ongoing strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities and called for its immediate resolution.
This was contained in a statement issued by Prof. Kimse Okoko, the Chairman, Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Nigerian Federal Universities, in Abuja on Monday.

The statement said the strike by ASUU had lingered because of the non-implementation of the 2009 agreement between the Federal Government and the union.

The statement said: “The collateral consequences of the strike are as it relates to the Post-UTME screening and the semester examinations in some universities, as well as the general dislocation of the academic calendar.

“The committee of pro-chancellors wishes to appeal to all parties concerned to dispassionately expedite action to resolve the matter soonest.”

The statement further said that the committee, on its part, would work assiduously toward ensuring quick resolution of the impasse.

The negotiations among the Senate, the Federal government and the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU over the ongoing industrial action embarked by universities lecturers ended without parties reaching any compromise.

Both Natasha from Malawi and Selly from Ghana were evicted tonight from the big brother africa house. My man, Melvin looked confident and relaxed!

After surviving over three eviction nominations, Natasha‘s luck eventually ran out today as she was sent packing from the BBA house along with Ghana‘s Selly.

Both housemates received the news of their eviction with shock and bewilderment, especially for Selly who realised only today that Oneal had replaced Elikem with her. The eviction rounds up a pretty tough weekend for Selly who has had fights with former love interest Sulu, and more recently Nando. Tyson Gay & Asafa Powell Fail Drug Tests

Tyson Gay & Asafa Powell Fail Drug Tests

US sprinter Tyson Gay and Jamaica's former 100m world record holder Asafa Powell have failed drug tests.

Gay, 30, the joint-second fastest man over 100m, was notified by the US Anti-Doping Agency on Friday that his A sample from an out-of-competition test in May had returned a positive.

Powell tested positive for a banned stimulant while competing in June's Jamaican championships.

Fellow Jamaican athlete Sherone Simpson also failed a drug test at the event.

The sprinter, a 4x100m relay silver medallist at last year's London Olympics, tested positive for oxilofrine - the same stimulant Powell tested positive for.

Powell and Simpson's doping positives come a month after Jamaican Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown tested positive for a banned diuretic.

The 30-year-old Powell was the last man to hold the individual 100m record before compatriot Usain Bolt broke it in 2008. He is still the fourth fastest man of all time.

Powell later helped Jamaica to win 400m relay gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

He has run 9.88 seconds this year, but failed to make the Jamaican team for next month's World Championships.

"I want to be clear in saying to my family, friends and, most of all, my fans worldwide that I have never knowingly or wilfully taken any supplements or substances that break any rules," Powell said in a statement.

"I am not now - nor have I ever been - a cheat."

Gay, who is the fastest man in 2013, is waiting for the results of his 'B' sample.

He has already withdrawn from next month's World Championships in Moscow.

"I don't have a sabotage story... I basically put my trust in someone and was let down," he said.

"I know exactly what went on, but I can't discuss it right now.

"I hope I am able to run again, but I will take whatever punishment I get like a man."

USADA responded to Gay's disclosure by releasing a statement that read: "In response to Mr Gay's statements, USADA appreciates his approach to handling this situation and his choice to voluntarily remove himself from competition while the full facts surrounding his test are evaluated.

"The B sample will be processed shortly, and as in all cases all athletes are innocent unless or until proven otherwise through the established legal process, and any attempt to sensationalise or speculate is a disservice to due process, fair play, and to those who love clean sport.
