The savagery and the sheer irrationality in the
spilling of innocent blood in Nigeria’s north east
region came to its unbearable point in the past
few days as the eyes of the whole world was on
the campaign in support of the search of the
abducted school girls from a secondary school in
Chibok in Borno state.
The whole world came to Nigeria’s aid just as
the same time world business leaders converged
in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja for the
World Economic Forum on Africa
The whole world stood up to condemn the killings
and the abduction by the sect Boko Haram. The
Nigerian government may be under intense
pressure on what to do and how well to
coordinate the activities in bringing back the
girls and solving the challenge of insurgency
President Jonathan’s confidence level perhaps
got a notch higher with the multiple support
from countries like the US, the UK, France and
China.
The opposition, All Progressives Congress (APC)
told journalists in Lagos that it wants to help
the federal government
But beyond of all that what must the Nigerian
government do now to make sure Nigerians are
at peace and concentrate on developing the now
number economy on the continent.
President Jonathan’s Media Adviser, Dr Reuben
Abati joins the programme and explains the
government’s effort in the fight to bring back
the girls and bring terrorism to end in Nigeria.
