Two suspects identified as Cameroonian nationals have been nabbed and are currently in police custody in connection with last night’s devastating bomb blast in Nyanya, Abuja.
NewsExpressNgr reports that Force Spokesman Frank Mba disclosed this in Abuja while briefing newsmen. Mba said only 19 people died, 31 were injured by the blast, which happened around 8pm near a police checkpoint and opposite the bus station bombed by Boko Haram in the morning of April 14, officially killing 75 people and injuring over 200. He, however, assured that the police are on the trail of other suspects.

According to eye witnesses, they had seen a man suspected to be the bomber pack a white Volkswagen Golf car in the vicinity of Wazobia Park and walked away, shortly after which the bomb went off.
“There were policemen around when this explosion happened and they didn’t manage to stop it,” lamented Charles Osueke, who was in the area at the time of the blast.
