This was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in
the Ministry of Interior, Annesthesia Nwaobia, on Thursday in Abuja.
The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, May 29, public
holiday to mark the 2013 Democracy Day celebration. Minister of
Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, in a statement in Abuja, on Thursday, said
this was approved by President Goodluck Jonathan.
More in the statement, Jonathan urged all Nigerians to deepen their
participation in democratic governance, so as to pass on the baton of
credible and good governance to upcoming generations. He congratulated
Nigerians on the attainment of yet another successful year of the
transformation agenda of President Jonathan.
