Members of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC have
commenced a nationwide strike following yesterday's announcement by the
Federal government that the oil corporation will be unbundled into 7
units (Read story here).
The oil workers got to work this morning and could not access their
various offices. The immediate impact of the strike will be nationwide
fuel scarcity as NUPENG will not be able to lift fuel today.
