A 38-year-old man has slumped and died on a queue at a polling unit on Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The state police spokesperson, DSP Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident said the man died on a queue while awaiting accreditation in order to exercise his franchise for his chosen candidates in the gubernatorial and State Assembly polls.
Mohammed said: “On April 11, 2015 at about 15:30 pm, one Mr Bulus Tsanmani, 38 years, of Gwaranga ward in Bogoro Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State slumped on queue while awaiting accreditation at his polling unit in Gwaranga ward.
“Police patrol team attached to Bogoro division visited the scene and rushed the victim to General Hospital, Bogoro, for treatment where he was later certified dead by a medical doctor. The corpse was deposited at the mortuary for post-mortem examination.”
This is not the first of such incidents as another 50-year-old widow died in the same manner in Katsina State on Saturday, April 11, 2015.
