EXPLOSION NEAR GOMBE GOVERNOR'S RESIDENCE

Thursday Evening's explosion happened at a
junction leading to the Gombe governor's private
residence, a security source has confirmed.
The source said the Amoured Personnel Carrier
(APC) guarding the junction exploded without
giving level of casualty the explosion recorded.
The area is now cordonned off.
The explosion went off near residence of Gombe
state governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo,
located at GRA, Kilometers away from the
Government House, ealier on Thursday.
A resident of the area told Daily Trust that the
explosion affected the amoured car at the
junction leading to the goveronor's residence.
Though the level of causality or damage caused
by the blast is not known at press time,
residents living as far away from the GRA as
Jekada Fari area said they heard a loud blast
from the area.
