According to the latest news from the Financial Times, the Apple will release the iOS system on the car at the Geneva Motor Show next week. Specifically, Ferrari, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz will be the first automaker to be equipped with this system.
According to information received, the iOS system on the car will have features like Apple Maps, music, videos, voice assistant Siri, make calls and text messages. The system will read the message content for the driver, and vice versa, the driver can reply to voice messages without the need to manipulate on screen. Besides, the system is also equipped with a number of entertainment features from the car company partners.

As noted above, Ferari, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz will be the first partner equipped car system on Apple's iOS. In 2005, Apple also has teamed up with a number of car manufacturers like Nissan and Alfa Romeo to integrate iPod into the sound system in the car.

Most recently, in a short video posted by one iOS developer we can see the interface and one of the features of iOS system maps in the car. Accordingly, the interface of the iOS system on the car will be similar to iPhone and iPad on iOS 7.

At this point, Apple has no feedback about this rumor. However, things could be clarified in the Geneva Motor Show takes place next week.
